The Muslim Ummah, through the concept of endowment, was able to transcend the concept of conventional urban constructs, surpassing world geography to the architecture of the hereafter (Al-Akhirah). This was achieved through employing infrastructure to the best of use for the blessings of Allah, and endowing it to His creation to magnify its structures, benefits, and management in service of men and humanity based on the basics of rationality and sustainability. 

In this regard, endowments have contributed greatly to a variety of social challenges through institutions and charitable endowment projects. This saw compelling competition amongst Muslim nations in developing endowments for Saudi Arabia and Morroco as well as the Aqsa Mosque which saw funds spread across the Muslim world in efforts to maintain the holiness and grandness of these holy locations as the beating hearts of Ummah.

For this reason, today endowment is considered among the necessary pillars to support the steadfastness of the People of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, as it generates stable and measurable resources that bring returns to sectoral projects in the city of Jerusalem in the fields of education, health, economy, and others.
