The continued tragic situation in Al-Quds city and the consequent large displacement from various areas as long as the corona effects have led to a very difficult unwanted conditions in the city and difficulty in providing living necessities. In addition, the weak purchasing power coincides with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, made it difficult for the afflicted families to provide daily food for their families, which is the most important component of life. Distributing food baskets for 10.000 poor families in Al-Quds. The baskets include staples like (rice, wheat, lentils, oil, sugar, meat, and dates. etc.)
What does each food box contain? Rice 3 kg, 3 liters sunflower oil, sugar 1 kg, salt 1 kg, soup, tahini freekeh half kg, pasta 4 kg, vermicelli 2 kg, olive tomato 600 grams, lentils grain 1 kg, lentils crushed 1 kg, Zaatar 1 kg, tea, foul 2 cans, dates half a kg, tuna 2 cans.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:   Whoever offers a meal to his/her Muslim brother/sister at the time of iftar (the meal eaten by Muslims breaking their fast after sunset during the month of Ramadan), s/he receives as much reward as s/he has earned. Nothing becomes less of the reward of those s/he offered meal to.   (Tirmidhî, Sawm: 82; Ibn-i Majah, Siyam: 40).

Distributing Iftar meals for over 100.000 fasting people and poor families during Ramadan.

The distribution of water bottles in Al-Aqsa Mosque is conducted every day during Holy Ramadan, intensively on Fridays and during special occasions for Muslims.   this project is among the most significant programs for worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The project aims to provide logistic services in particular to improve seclusion at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Itikaf” is a collective spiritual retreat that enables a person to reach a state of mental peace and sanctifies one’s inner self. The spiritual retreat connects hearts in such a way that one does not feel the need of reaching out to someone else. That is what “Itikaf” does for a Muslim in particular and human being in general. Itikaf (seclusion in a mosque) is prayer maintained with deep hunger during Ramadan, the month of fasting.   Hunger has a positive psychological impact on people. Itikaf provides an opportunity for the believer to get closer to Allah by temporarily freeing oneself and one’s mind from the activities and worries of this world. This provides an excellent opportunity to train oneself to disassociate temporarily from the worries of the world and to instead focus only on Allah. Various studies have examined how fasting in Ramadan affects people’s vital functions.     Ummet Waqf "Itikaf" Campaign we urge supporters to help us arrange such collective spiritual retreats on an annual basis, where thousands of AlQuds people from different troubled and peace-seeking backgrounds can take their harmony and revert back to their families with a feeling of spiritually recharged.

With your support, we, in the Ummat Waqf, provide daily transportation services for those wishing to visit Al-Aqsa Mosque for worship and seclusion, specifically from the occupied districts of Jerusalem and surrounding Palestinian areas. This initiative is especially crucial during the holy month of Ramadan, as it helps to sustain the mosque's revered presence and maintain its spiritual significance.

To raise a generation that memorizes the Book of God, preserves the sanctities of the nation, and follows the words of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” We are preparing centers for teaching the Qur’an, teaching intonation and recitation of the Qur’an, and qualifying teachers to teach it in classes distributed in the centers and mosques of the city of Jerusalem.

The houses in the old town of Al-Quds suffers from poor living conditions, some buildings are old and lack basic and proper living needs. More than 1.800 real estates in the old town are in urgent need for restoration. These real estates need to be restored and repaired in order to be safe and healthy residents. These efforts are being conducted to enhance Al-Quds citizens' resistance and to reserve the heritage of the city. Restoration works include supporting engineering work, electrical, and mechanical work in addition to sanitary extractions and other works.
During The Month of Ramadan, we draw our attention towards the residential environment at Jerusalem, and this is one of the narrowing impacts that faces people live at the old city during the whole past year but this gets worse in winter. This makes it urgent for roofs and walls restoration, sanitary extensions and electrical maintenance in a way that protects people.   from potential hazards during the rains and cold days. In the face of the occupation policies aimed at deporting the inhabitants of the Old City from their homes by making them unliveable, this campaign is here to support them at all levels.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, we strive to aid and support as many disadvantaged families as possible in the city of Jerusalem to improve their living conditions, which are located in a pivotal location near Al-Aqsa Mosque. This highlights the significance of directing charitable donations towards helping these families maintain their resilience.

To bring joy to the children of Jerusalem, we strive to distribute toys and gifts to the kids at the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque after the Eid prayer, bringing happiness and strengthening their connection with the mosque and the practice of rituals in it.

With your support, we aim to empower the next generation to enhance their knowledge and strengthen their connection to their homeland. To achieve this, we propose a school renovation project in the city of Jerusalem. This project will improve the working and living conditions for school teachers and create a more conducive learning environment for students. Additionally, it will help resist systematic efforts to judaize the educational sector's curricula and erase the city's identity.

Our goal is to fulfill the clothing needs of disadvantaged families for the Eid al-Fitr celebration so that Jerusalemite families and their children can prepare for Eid al-Fitr in the best of their conditions and so that manifestations of joy and ritual practicing appear in the city of Jerusalem.

We are addressing the need for providing separate requirements for caring for the mosque during the blessed month of Ramadan, as there is an urgent need for various necessities, including cleaning campaigns, minor renovations, and support for volunteer teams inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

With the goal of promoting job opportunities and revitalizing the struggling economy in Jerusalem, we are committed to restarting and supporting stalled projects in the city. Despite the oppressive occupation policies that have led to limited commercial activity and reduced purchasing power, and other policies aimed at closing the shops owned by Jerusalemites, we aim to purchase directly from these project owners and provide them with the necessary raw materials to sustain their businesses. Additionally, we will help these businesses pay any outstanding taxes and support them during Ramadan, which is a crucial time for the economy in Jerusalem."

In order for your donations during the holy month of Ramadan to include all the requirements of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its guests of people who visit the mosque for worship and seclusion, we are making effort in the Ummat Waqf to set up and equip tents for health supplies and first aid, which meets all emergency health needs.

During Ramadan, we prioritize the needs of families struggling with debt, particularly those facing mounting bills for water, electricity, and Arnona in the Old City. Our goal is to provide assistance in paying these debts to prevent the disconnection of essential services and maintain the residents' stability in the Old City.

To ensure the well-being of Al-Aqsa Mosque and facilitate the transfer of worshippers during the blessed month of Ramadan, efforts will be made to provide breakfast meals and support Dhikr sessions. These initiatives aim to maintain a continuous presence of Muslims throughout the holy month.  

Ramadan provides an opportunity for Muslims to feel a sense of unity as a community, sharing the experience of fasting and breaking their fast together. It is a time when the affluent expresses gratitude for God's blessings and empathizes with those who are less fortunate. Additionally, a good deed during Ramadan can hold immense value, especially when the good deed is dedicated to supporting Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and its people. It carries great merit, bringing with it significant rewards, blessings, and the fulfillment of a great duty.  

Children in Jerusalem face a range of difficulties, including poverty, limited access to education, and exposure to violence. Moreover, the lack of access to basic resources such as clean water, proper sanitation, and adequate medical care can also have a profound impact on children's health and wellbeing. According to a report by UNICEF, more than 250,000 children in Jerusalem are living in poverty, which affects their ability to access education, healthcare, and proper nutrition.  

The Muslim Ummah, through the concept of endowment, was able to transcend the concept of conventional urban constructs, surpassing world geography to the architecture of the hereafter (Al-Akhirah). This was achieved through employing infrastructure to the best of use for the blessings of Allah, and endowing it to His creation to magnify its structures, benefits, and management in service of men and humanity based on the basics of rationality and sustainability.  In this regard, endowments have contributed greatly to a variety of social challenges through institutions and charitable endowment projects. This saw compelling competition amongst Muslim nations in developing endowments for Saudi Arabia and Morroco as well as the Aqsa Mosque which saw funds spread across the Muslim world in efforts to maintain the holiness and grandness of these holy locations as the beating hearts of Ummah. For this reason, today endowment is considered among the necessary pillars to support the steadfastness of the People of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, as it generates stable and measurable resources that bring returns to sectoral projects in the city of Jerusalem in the fields of education, health, economy, and others.  

The residents of Jerusalem are facing economic hardships due to the restrictions imposed on them. You can join us in our efforts to aid the city's inhabitants by participating in projects that aim to improve their economic situation.

Ever since the tragedy happened, UMMET WAQF has been diligently monitoring the situation, from the very beginning of the earthquake until now, as we continue to assist those affected by the disaster. Our goal is to work with them step by step, until they have access to a permanent shelter and the ability to rebuild their lives.

UMMET WAQF for the Jerusalem Orphans operates through several projects, including:  - Providing assistance for tuition fees for orphan students in private schools in Jerusalem. - Distributing school bags to orphan students.  - Financial support to orphaned children. - Providing Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha clothing for orphan children. - Supplying winter clothing for orphaned children. - Providing food baskets for orphan families.  - Offering a program for memorizing the Holy Quran for orphan children. - Providing shelter for orphans along with food and drink. - Providing educational programs for orphans.  - Organizing excursions and recreational programs for orphans.  

Given the current situation at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the ongoing attacks, UMMET WAQF has initiated an urgent campaign to aid the worshipers within the mosque's courtyards.  As part of this effort, we will be setting up mobile clinics and emergency tents to provide medical treatment to those who have been injured.  We invite you to join us in supporting this cause and answering the call of Al-Aqsa.
